Powder and liquid polyelectrolyte
preparation and dosing systems
All Doselux ECO series units operate on a batch principle: first, the polymer is thoroughly mixed, and only then is it pumped to another tank. The product being prepared has no direct contact with the already mixed polymer solution, thus preventing unprepared polymer from entering the process. The batch operation system is also less sensitive to fluctuations in the preparation water flow. Fluctuating preparation water flow is a common problem. In the case of Doselux ECO, when the water flow decreases, the polymer preparation tank still fills to the set level, and only after the solution has been mixed for a certain time is it pumped to another tank: this maintains a constant concentration of the prepared polymer solution. The polymer solution is pumped from the preparation tank to the storage tank by a pump, which allows the system tanks to be installed at the same height—thus simplifying the pouring of concentrated polymer and system maintenance.
Features
A special hopper with a heated screw conveyor is used for feeding powder polymer. The screw conveyor motor is controlled by a frequency inverter, allowing flexible adjustment of the powder feeding rate. A vacuum pump can be mounted on the hopper, enabling autonomous filling of the hopper. The hopper is equipped with a powder level detector that signals when the tank needs to be refilled. Peristaltic pumps are used for pouring concentrated liquid polymer into the preparation tank. This type of pump is characterized by stable operation and resistance to failure. The prepared solution is dosed by a progressive cavity pump, whose output is controlled by a frequency inverter.
Automation
The entire unit is controlled automatically by a programmable logic controller. The control cabinet features a touchscreen, making the unit easy to adjust. The touchscreen displays a logical menu-driven system that allows the user to coordinate all unit functions in manual or automatic mode. The Doselux ECO system prepares the polymer solution in a fully automated manner. In the basic system version, the polymer solution dose is adjusted from the control cabinet, and the polymer dosing pump can be started either from the control cabinet or by an external signal.
